Laurence Rickard
Laurence is an award winning writer and performer, specialising in comedy. He is one of the co-creators and stars of the hugely successful BBC1 sit com Ghosts.
Laurence co-wrote with Ben Willbond the Sci Fi television feature We Are Not Alone. This was the first television feature the UKTV’s Dave have ever made.
He was a principle writer and one of the stars of ‘Horrible Histories’, which has won more than 20 major awards, including two National Comedy Awards, four successive BAFTAs (a Guinness World Record) and the Prix Jeunesse for the best children's show of the last 50 years.
His critically acclaimed family friendly fantasy sitcom ‘Yonderland’, produced by Working Title Television, ran for three series on Sky 1.
His first feature film ‘Bill’, co- written with Ben Willbond and staring the lead cast from Horrible Histories, was described as “the funniest movie this year” (The Sun) and “a crowd pleasing treat” (Mark Kermode, The Observer).
