Briony Redman

Briony Redman

Briony is a writer and comedian who, thanks to law school and coffee shop jobs, is also a qualified Barrister and Barrista. She was shortlisted for the BAFTA Rocliffe Comedy Script 2016 and is presently writing a comedy feature film script with writer/director Kate Herron (Screen International Star of Tomorrow 2016). Briony performed her debut solo comedy show at the Pleasance Theatre at the Edinburgh Festival 2016 and won the Darkchat award for Best Comedy. She also performs as one half of double act Surname & Surname (The Times Top Pick) with Paul Foxcroft (great guy, have a look at his page too). Briony’s acting credits include a number of short films and adverts including a viral short for Hoot Comedy that has over 750,000 online hits. Briony is also an experienced improviser who performs regularly with smash-hit improv supergroup The Free Association (“The UK has an equivalent to the professionalised improv of Chicago’s Second City or Upright Citizens Brigade, the FA are it.” FestMag). Briony can no longer offer legal advice but can still make a great cuppa, so the important training stuck.
